Climate assemblies are a new structure that brings togetherpeople from different walks of life to learn, discuss and develop recommendations on how to respond to the climate crisis . These assemblies are a way of engaging the collective mind of society in responses to the climate crisis and are quite different from existing institutions.

In climate assemblies, participants are selectedthrough random selection. Thanks to this method, participants reflect the general population in terms of age, gender, education level and other characteristics . These assemblies are not only composed of activists or professionals; rather, they include individuals from all walks of life.

At the beginning of the process, assembly members receive informationabout the climate crisis and possible solutions from experts and interest groups with different views. Participants have the opportunity to ask challenging questions and compare different ideas.

Participantsthen discuss and evaluate the information they have heard and worktogetheron proposals and solutions. These recommendations are published asa final report at the end of the process.
