Within the scope of the Town Twinning for a Green Future Grant Scheme between Turkey and the EU, the team of the ‘We are also in the Fight against Climate Change’ project coordinated by Buca Municipality visited Stuttgart. Yuva Association coordinator Erdem Vardar also took part in the visit.
Making a statement about the project, Buca Mayor Görkem Duman said: “In our project, we aim to carry out activities that will increase the awareness of vulnerable local people, especially children, youth, and women who are most affected by climate change, while aiming for participating municipalities to work in harmony to reduce the negative effects of climate change. Unfortunately, we are seeing the effects of the climate crisis at the poles and in our own geography more and more every day. For this reason, we are already starting to implement climate action plans hand in hand with all our stakeholders.”
