Organized by Koç University Social Impact Forum – KUSIF, studies of Management of Social Impact Program for NGOs’ first step was held in July, with the participation of 10 different Non-Governmental Organizations. During the six months long program Education Coordinator Ebru Açıkgöz and Vocational Training Officer Gülistan Koç will be representing YUVA.

Turkish Education as a second language in daily life of Syrians, which is being carried out within the YUVA’s Education Program, is planned to be evaluated through the program. The transformation theories that are going to be acquired from the outcomes of this impact evaluation research, will be leading the way through the present and future works we conduct and also they will be providing an integrative view of the impacts that includes YUVA and its partners together.

In today’s world, it is being a topic that instead of analyzing with digits in qualitative or quantitative research methods, the beneficiary oriented organizations are more interested in a tendency that is more focused on how the works they conduct cause transformations and changes on the communities that they bring their service to. We observe that many Non-Governmental Organizations are adapting to this method in order to understand what their works are leaning to and with the outcomes of this method, they are renewing the extent of their upcoming works and updating themselves. To prepare a Social Impact Frame and to create a Social Impact Strategy in context with the Partner Analysis are the most dynamic components of this process.

Through this program, we are willing to discover an inclusionary approach by finding answers to the questions in relation to how the beneficiaries that YUVA brings the service of Turkish Education as a Second Language see and perceive this education and what transformation theories this education bring to their lives. In the light of those answers, the impact management of Turkish Education as a Second Language will be ensured.
