How do we survive in a warming Izmir?
To seek answers to this challenging question together, 50 citizens randomly selected from across Izmir based on the city’s demographic structure are coming together under the Izmir Citizens’ Assembly for Climate.
First session: September 7, 2025, Sunday
During this process, our citizens will not only discuss; they will also develop proposals, voice their needs, and directly convey their solutions for a livable Izmir to decision-makers.
The parliamentary process consists of five sessions: September 7 – September 21 – October 5 – October 19 – November 2
Each session will address a different topic, and each proposal will be integrated with the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality’s Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP).
