In 2020, within the scope of the Environmental Literacy Networking Project’, which started with the partnership of YUVA and Kyoto Club (Italy) and the financial support of the European Union, Environmental Literacy Network (ELN) was established with the participation of civil society organisations and local administrations from Türkiye and the European Union.

Within the framework of the project, three separate study visits were organised in 2023 to Rome, Bologna and Brussels with the representatives of ELN members. During these visits, contact was established with governmental and non-governmental organisations operating in the field of environmental sustainability and climate change in these cities and information was obtained on good practices carried out in these cities.

In this context, three different reports were prepared within the scope of the study visits. The first document, “Sustainable Development Investments and Policy Recommendations: Italy Good Practices“, contains the results of the study visits to Rome on 23-27 January 2023 and Bologna on 3-7 April 2023.

The second document, “Climate Change Adaptation Strategy: The Bologna Case“, is a detailed report of the contacts established during the Bologna visit with the Municipality of Bologna and organisations dealing with environmental sustainability and climate change in the city.

The third and final document, “Methodology Guide for Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change Trainings“, was designed as a resource covering all the visits following the study visit to Brussels, Belgium on 10-14 July 2023. This guide was prepared to summarise recommended models, methods and good practices for educators and organisations carrying out training activities in the field of environmental sustainability and climate change.
