ESTABLISHING AN ENVIRONMENTAL LITERACY NETWORK

Yuva Association invites non-governmental organizations and civil initiatives that work in the field of environmental education, want to work in the field of environmental education or can contribute to educational content to join the Environmental Literacy Network.

The Environmental Literacy Network (ELN) is being established within the scope of the EU project coordinated by Yuva Association with the vision of contributing to the proliferation of “globally literate” individuals who research and implement ways to live more harmoniously with nature.

With ELN, it is aimed for NGOs and civil initiatives from Türkiye and the EU to join forces in environmental education, improve their educational and institutional capacities, and contribute to developing environmental literacy by organizing training and advocacy activities together.

The network is being established within the scope of the EU-funded Environmental Literacy Communication Network Project implemented by Yuva Association in partnership with Kyoto Club (Italy).

During the three-year project, activities such as capacity-building workshops, Global Literacy Trainer Training, Global Literacy Dissemination Training, animation production that raises environmental awareness for children, and study visits will take place under the ELN umbrella.

For detailed information about the project, you can send an e-mail to koza@yuva.org.tr.

Who can participate in ELN?

ELN is open to all associations, foundations, civil society networks and platforms, professional organizations, and city councils that organize or aim to organize training and awareness-raising activities in the field of environment and climate change or work in areas that can contribute to the content of these trainings, support the purpose of establishing ELN and primarily operate in Ankara, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Gaziantep, Hatay, İstanbul, İzmir and Mersin.
