As Yuva Association, we are coming together with the Kadıköy Environment Festival, which took place on June 2-4.

The theme of this year’s festival, which will take place in Selamiçeşme Özgürlük Park, is “#GiveToNature”. The festival aims to create solutions as individuals or communities by approaching all environmental problems in our country and the world, especially climate change, from different frameworks and to present examples of ecological life.

As part of our EU-funded Environmental Literacy Networking Project, we will be present in the festival area for three days with both our booth and activities.

Within the scope of the project, we aim to talk about climate literacy and ecological literacy and inspire sustainable living in our stands and activities that we will realize together with the representatives of Four Seasons Lifelong Play and Learning Association, Troya Environment Association, METU Green Campus Community and Natural Life Association, which are members of the Environmental Literacy Network (ELN) .

Founded in 2020, the Environmental Literacy Network  (ELN) aims to strengthen the cooperation of non-governmental organizations and local governments from Turkey and the European Union in the field of environmental education and thus contribute to the increase of “globally literate” individuals who can look critically at nature and human relations, develop ideas for solving these problems and exhibit responsible behavior and understanding within this framework.
